GCI SCHOOL COUNCIL

The Glebe Collegiate School Council Has Been Formally Established By The Province Of Ontario.  It Is A Volunteer Group Of Parents, Students, Teachers And Community Members.  Main Role Is To Provide A Means Of Direct Communication Between The Parents, The Local Community And The School.  The School Council Also Provides Parents With A Wider Insight Into Major Policy Issues In Education.  Through The School Council, Parents Also Assist With Certain Non-core Or Social Activities At The School.

GCI School Council Meeting

Meetings Are Generally Held The 3rd Monday Of The Month, With Some Exceptions.  Meetings Are Currently Being Held Using Google Meet, Starting At 7:00 Pm. Everyone Is Welcome.

GCI ALUMINI AND 100TH ANNIVERSARY

The First Students Came To Glebe In The Fall Of 1922. The School Was Officially Opened In May Of 1923.

The Volume 7, Number 4 Edition (1948) Of The School Newsletter, Novae Res, Included The Following Statement About Gci, “the First Students Were Admitted In September 1922, And The School Was Formally Opened In May 1923 By The Hon. J.a. Grant, Minister Of Education And M.p.p For Carleton County”.
